ParticipantIt does look good and is affordable. I wonder when we’ll see those phones in non-Chinese speaking countries. It would be nice to try it.

ParticipantSounds really good. I wonder when Chinese brands will start to become more known. It can be really good although I haven’t really had any experience with Android fork OS. Interestingly, I’m seeing Google starting to show pics of smartwatches too.

ParticipantYou can also call Vodafone to have a customer service agent walk you through editing the APN so you can make use of your sim for the internet.

ParticipantNice link. You know what’s funny, I only knew about holding the Home key bringing out the last apps you used these few months and I already have my phone for almost 3 years. Very interesting and useful info.

ParticipantAndroid’s still the top mobile OS. The thing about Android though is that it’s not being used by just one smartphone manufacturing company. So when sales are reported among smartphone companies, Android is divided into Samsung, HTC, Motorola and all the other Android phone manufacturers, it’s not surprising that Apple can get to the top with Samsung slacking a bit on sales. Anyways, this is just in America.

ParticipantIt looks really thin and light. I wonder when they’d release more info on the specs though. It would be very interesting how much power one can pack in that Ultrabook. I also wonder how durable that thing is.

ParticipantHah. That looks really good. I know the iPhone 5s gold version is a hit and I guess if you can’t get that, this would be the next best thing.

ParticipantWhatever the problem is, it’s better to have someone with experience repair it for you if it’s complicated. I myself check a number of resources, mostly XDA forums. They’re pretty helpful.

ParticipantFor me, I love the ability to customise it as you want. It’s also good that you can have other roms to use instead of the default and in my personal opinion, it’s much easier than with an iPhone. The variety of available phones also means you can have one that fits your budget.

ParticipantI use KingSoft Office. You can edit word documents for free and I think you can also use the Excel part. It’s made in China and professional looking.

ParticipantHeh, the iPhone 5C is too expensive especially for us who have been exposed to nice China Android devices that are very affordable and perform very well for the price. If I want something colourful, I think I’ll be able to get China phone that’s way cheaper than the 5C.

ParticipantNice. I’m going to get a new TV next month, I might see if we have more money for an Android TV box since you guys say it’s cheap.
I think my father will appreciate it since he’s been ranting about playing games in his small tablet.ChiChai
ParticipantWhere have you seen them? I think they’re still selling in the Philippines. I definitely saw some phones being sold in the local mall although they don’t have their own stalls.

Participantmareebaybay wrote:Yes I think the only way to delete the pre-installed apps on your device, is to root the phone itself. I don’t think any phone manufacturer would give you the option to delete the pre-installed apps. That’s right. They’re using those apps to set their phone apart from all the different Android phones that exist. Many phones with pre-installed apps would mostly have something where you’d be urged to submit your information for login. I think that’s part of how they’re advertising for their other products.

ParticipantI don’t have that device but this looks like it’s working according to the xda forums:
http://www.techbloggerzone.com/2013/08/how-to-root-cherry-mobile-spark-tv.html
Now, as usual. If you root your device, you’re voiding its warranty. I also can’t guarantee you’d have no problems with the phone after rooting so read more about your device just to be safe.
