ParticipantYes but it depends upon the processor and the version of Android installed. For example there are some one click solutions for Chinese MTK phones, which runs a exploit to obtain root. Look around the various discussion forums for your phone and see if you can find anything.

ParticipantMost phones have one block of memory. Part of this is taken as system and the other as phone memory. Its one and the same. So if you have a phone that have 521MB and 4 Gig, the 512 is part of the total 4 Gig. You can in some circumstances reformat this so you have more working memory, but you end up with less storage. if you have an SD then this can be used as storage.

ParticipantDoes the PC display anything when you connect? this might also be a partition issue with the memory. The larger partition may not be formatted.

This looks similar, different reason but the solution might work.Bazabaza

So I tried to reset phone : I use recovery mode and I chose “wipe data..” but the problems persists.
I have to download a Rom? Where ? I’m novice!
PS: The phone has an internal sd and I can’t put any file there. In the recovery mode there’s “apply from sd..” but it’s the internal sd!

ParticipantWhat is the make of the phone, model number…saying S6 clone does not help? Dont know if it is in your country but changing IMEI number is a criminal offense. It may be that network has detected this change and blacklisted the IMEI number. Change it back and see if your old phone still works. If it does then it can’t be that.

Participanthave you allowed unknown sources in setting/security? if you don’t the phone will not allow apks to be installed in this way.

ParticipantProbably will need a custom ROM to enable. Not available on stock as far as i know.

Participantlindbergh wrote:I wonder why rooting is considered illegal when you already bought the phone in the first place. The phone is yours and you can do anything with it right? You could give it to a friend or you could throw it into the ocean. Then here comes rooting and they say that it’s illegal. Why?The reason is that rooting allows the user to protected areas that potentially can make the phone unusable. This means that the manufacturer is having to repair something that they shouldn’t have to, therefore to them it negates your warranty. Its not illegal as such.
