zodoma; first check the manufacturer’s website. then check http://www.needrom.com if you cannot find your compatible rom there, you have less chance to find it. you have to search internet for it. if you still cannot find it, contact the shop you bought it. you can try to buy etotalk mod rom if they have it for your device. their address is http://www.etotalk.com

Hello friend
I am having Swipe MTV Slash Tablet with JB 4.1.2 with following specifications
Hardware : MT6577
Model : MTV SLASH
Build number : MD700HB.1G.V1.60.2013.07.01
Build date UTC : 20130629-075032
Android v : 4.1.2
Baseband v: MAUI.11AMD.W12.22.SP.V27, 2013/03/23 22:24
Kernel v : 3.4.0 (root@elinktek) (gcc version 4.6.x-google 20120106 (prerelease) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Mon Jul 1 16:20:55 CST 2013

I dont have factory ROM or Stock ROM for my tablet as company is not providing it
so i decided to back up ROM and install recovery via droid tools and flash tool
i was successful in extracting and creating ROM file via Scatter file and Flash tools
but after that

WHEN TRIED TO THE STEP OF — PROCESS FILE ROM_ FROM FLASH TOOL—
I GET FOLLOWING ERROR

— root shel it is received temporarily before reboot !
— The preservation folder on the computer: C:MKT ToolsMtkDroidToolsbackupsMTV-SLASH_130629_ForFlashtoolFromReadBack_131119-215930
— scatter is write to the file:
C:MKT ToolsMtkDroidToolsbackupsMTV-SLASH_130629_ForFlashtoolFromReadBack_131119-215930MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
— preloader.bin …it is copied … cut OK
— DSP_BL …it is copied … cut OK
— MBR …it is copied
— EBR1 …it is copied
— uboot.bin – The signature isn’t found!
— ERROR of a signature, ôàéë ROM ïðî÷èòàí èç òåëåôîíà íåâåðíî!
— task end with ERROR —

Umit, I have bricked my Alcatel One-Touch S’Pop and looking for a stock ROM to flash it. It had the 4030X but I think I could use 4030D too. I found both X and D on sourceforge dot net/projects/alcatel/files/?source=navbar but unfortunately when I extract them, there is no scatter file inside. I looked up alcatel’s site but couldn’t find anything. Does this means that it is a rom for update from sdcard? How would I tell between roms for SP and roms for sdcard? And what is the worst scenario that could happen if I try to flash from sdcard a rom that is not made for flashing from sd? Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear that. Can’t you find stock ROM from the manufacturer’s website? Have you checked http://www.needrom.com ? You can create scatter file using mtk droid tools, but it requires more expertise.

I’d really not get into making my own scatter because I’m sure that this will only complicate things to the worse possible. There are roms only for three alcatel phones in needrom site, mine excluded. It’s not updated with alcatels…
The official site the page is:

but when you click on the fourth tab “support” you get a 503 error.

Any other ideas???

I THINK I HAVE FLASHED THE WRONG ROM.
THE PHONE IS NOT TURNING ON.
MY COMPUTER IS NOT RECOGNISING IT WHEN SWITCHED OFF AND PLUGGED INTO THE PC.
SO NOW I CANNOT FLASH.
