I know phone backup is very important as there are many cases you would brick the phone. Currently, I used Dropbox to backup photos and documents. For contacts, I sync them with Gmail. The only question left is how to back up the messages to computer. Anyone know about this? thanks

It is an Android phone. You can simply go to Google Play to download some free apps such as sms backup & restore or sms backup +. They can save your text messages to xml file or email on computer.

Or you can download a pc program called Mobieldic Android Manager to transfer messages from Android to computer directly. You need to connect your Android to computer via usb or wifi.

Whether you can recover texts from a broken Android phone or not,you can recover lost data on Android phone. However, it depends on the phone itself. You’d better not created new data on your phone after the message loss. Now, let’s be optimistic.

To recover lost data from Android, I’d like to recommend using Mobiledic Android Data Recovery, it can help you.

I downloaded it and found it asks me to root my phone, but I don’t want to root my device, any other way that could recover my deleted messages from Android phone?

Yes, we can still recover lost mobile phone text messages with some data recovery app, and most of them are very easy to use. Try Coolmuster Android SMS Recovery.

I tried it and found it asks me to root my phone, uninstalled it!
