There are mostly good tips to use. I’d just warn people about tips sites that are not endorsed by friends because this is one way that malicious users spread stuff that negatively affect your apps and OS. I’d still advise to slowly learn tricks and shortcuts a little bit at a time. Thanks thanks!

Nexus 7 is already good now but I think giving it a few months might help you do more research and maybe hold out for features that are forthcoming. In terms of features and power it’s very good in relation to its price. It would also greatly depend on the specific purpose for which you want a device of this type. Obviously surfing does not require a lot of power.

Having no idea what is available in your area, I’d advice you to look around first. What you wanna look out for is the reliability of the brand – something you can research online – and available tech support and replacement parts. Know that the unbranded inexpensive ones are expected to have their batteries go dead in a couple of years with no replacements in the market. You have to manage expectations. Take a look at Coby models which have been developing a good reputation for its segment.

If you’re acceptable to replacing it every several months then feel free to get the cheap ones. As they say, ‘you get what you pay for’. there really is no logic to not paying a decent price for a unit you’d like to use for at least a year. Also, if you do get a cheap one, don’t expect tech support or availability of repair or replacement parts.

I don’t own one but have had the chance to use one extensively. First of all i’d say it’s pretty good bang for buck. At its price, its very useful and relatively reliable. I’m not looking forward to durability beyond a couple of years with good care but its literally a small price to pay for current satisfaction. so far it does the job and the connectivity is superb.

By definition, and android phone is a phone that runs android. Personally, the biggest feature is the flexibility with which it can be configured as a device. All the open source apps are available for installation and use according to how the phone owner wishrs to maximize the device.

What then would happen if I had an apk that I got somewhere else but available in GogglePlay? Ive gotten two different perspectives of it being Unknown Sources and as ‘legit’. Clarification if you please?
