The notion that everything Chinese is of poor quality seems more like a malicious comment rather than a joke at this point.

China has become one of the most important manufacturers in the world. Many brands of products, even very recognizable ones, have components made by China inside.

Chinese products in general have come a long way, especially in the technology field. It is a real contender with a good standard of durability.

t’s been a popular notion (and joke) that Chinese made products are not that great when it comes to build quality

We must reply that it’s mostly just like with everything else: if properly cared for, it will last.

There are great designs on the market already. The typical smart watch can be seen more as an extension to your smart-phone than as a standalone device.

Depending on how you blend it within your own lifestyle your new smart watch can be a anything from a most-useful gadget to complement your android experience or it can turn into a nuisance.

Be careful there. Better try some models prior to buying and by all means have a reason that justifies buying it in the first place!

My vote goes to Phablet right now. You can’t go wrong by getting the largest screen you can find if you want the best of both worlds.

There are 6” and even 7” ones on the market!

Speaking of Android as operating system here. I think the achieved compatibility across devices is a great feature. I am a programmer and I can assure you that achieving a successful operation on different types of hardware has proven to be a mammoth task for desktop operating systems.

In this sense Apple has it easy. They control both the hardware and the operating system themselves. No doubt this is an advantage. But in the reality of the worldwide market to achieve a whole ecosystem of hardware dancing in unison is a great feature in itself.

Speaking of the functionality for the user, I must say the number of applications. This comes straight from being an open system. The play store is indeed great!

If you go to geekbuying.com’s website you will find good deals on phones for under $100. If you have barriers to import from China, you can also get basically the same models from the Amazon website with a minimal price variation.

Now, if we talk about how cheap a functional phone can get these days, we can not fail to mention the $25 phone from Mozilla:

Well, let’s look at why tablets have replaced PCs for many users.

We can note factors such as reading comfort, mobile multimedia and taking notes without having to go to the desktop are superior, and we can not rule out the much more variety in design.

Between a PC and a tablet, the winner for the normal user is a tablet: it brings more obvious benefits.

Now, is the same true in the mobile phone vs tablet case?

The truth is that the functions of a mobile phone and a tablet are quite similar, discounting calls. Both provide mobility and basically the same applications. Anyone using Android for tablets automatically knows how to use the phone version, and vice versa. Not a drastic change.

In this case the determining factor to choose is personal preference. Surely mobiles provide just what a large segment of the mobile market need, but there will always be those who require the extra size and performance a tablet brings, so I don’t think tablets will be replaced completely.

I guess the best option for in-betweeners are phablets.
