I managed to fix this.
with some tape i attached aluminium foil folded at the back of the phone and now Wi-FI signal is perfect – super download all times.

I think you misunderstood.
I have a Lenovo Mobile phone A850 model..
I think the one you say wifi adaptor is for computer/laptop, is that right?

Yes, other devices works perfectly on the same router, i think the wifi card on the phone is crap and weak. so think might be hardware issue as i have played around with the other settings (software wise).what is the wifi adaptor you talking about? any links?
