The typical smart watch can be seen more as an extension to your smart-phone than as a standalone device. Are they really good enough to act as an extension to your own smart device? Don’t suppose you’d be able to give an example or anything like that?

MemberSo maybe this is a little ignorant, but what advantages of the installed OS, if you don’t mind my asking?

I know that the cheapest place to buy these phones would be in China but the problem is the language. I’m not able to browse and interact with Chinese websites to the best of my ability. So I wanted to find out is there any websites that sell these Chinese android phones at a good price. There are a lot of websites online where you can buy Chinese phones. Geekbuying is one of them and I can say it delivers because I bought an Android phone from them early this year and I got in in new condition and the phone is still going strong today.
What phone did you pick up, and at what price exactly? If it’s a known brand, is the phone actually what they said it was, or is it just a cheap knock off that are far too common these days?

MemberErr…what?
I’m assuming it would be more correct to say that the outside of the phone is going to be made out of bamboo, rather than the phone itself?

MemberMy first android device was the Samsung Galaxy Y, which I like to call the Samsung Galaxy Y Bother?
It’s one step up from a non-smart phone, but it doesn’t have the processing power, or functionality of a true smart phone. It’s meant to be a stop gap between the two, acting as a way of teaching new smart phone users who maybe aren’t that comfortable with technology. I still have it, but I only started using it because it was this, or no phone at the time.

MemberWell first of all it depends on if you actually wear a watch on a regular basis! I know a lot of people don’t, so if you’re one of the many who don’t bother with a watch these days, since we have phones on us at all times, then obviously you might not want to pick up a smart watch as you wouldn’t really get the full experience out of it.

MemberI dunno to be honest. If it’s a significant upgrade from the 5, then yeah sure. The problem is however that they seem to just be making minor upgrades these days, knowing that people will buy it anyway because they just have to have the latest release.
