Like I’ve already said to many others throughout this forum, you could simply flash the device and install a custom ROM, like CyanogenMod ( currently the best and the worthiest one to get ), and you will get support from their experienced devs, as well as risk-free updates. Though flashing implies bricking, so be careful and seek experienced people to do this for you. You wouldn’t really want to waste $285, right?
Another method for you to try would be rooting, though that won’t necessarily fix the issue. You could try to do both flashing and rooting, but I suggest you to not do so because you will ultimately ruin the phone!

If Rohan’s method doesn’t work, then you might as well just flash it. But seek professional people who can get this work done for you, you wouldn’t want to brick it from now on, right?

Even though its price is pretty close to the original’s (at least in my location), I’d truly say I’d invest my money in it for the performances it has got to offer if I had the money in my hands. It isn’t misleading whatsoever, but I will see, probably I will get my hands on this marvelous phone!

Oh, my god! This phone is truly amazing in all the aspects, period! I’ve managed to try it for myself as a good friend of mine has got one, too, and I must confess that it is indeed as good as advertised, even better.
As a matter of fact, I’ve got an internet modem from them, too, and it doesn’t heat and reduce performances upon using it too much whatsoever. They’ve really got an ace up their sleeve that they might use to compete with popular brands, like Samsung and Apple. Who knows, probably everybody will change the trend from Apple to ZTE.

People have managed to make a stereotypical thought about the Chinese devices, but they’re actually pretty good compared to other brands that have got no idea about how to make a successful smartphone, like Acer. Sincerely and without having a biased opinion, even if on paper they do mention that they have the best components, the performances are utter GARBAGE. No offense intended for whomever has got one, but, really, I’d rather spend the money on the worst Chinese phone available and it still wouldn’t dissapoint me that much.

I thought that they had an app manager for PC available on their official site, right? I have a Huawei phone, and upon connecting it to my laptop, it automatically started to install a software made by Huawei that resembled the one made by HTC. You should visit their official site and manually install it. I’m pretty sure it’s still available.

One of my friends has recently experienced this particular issue, too! He didn’t know what to do, and I couldn’t do anything either beside telling him that he needed to flash it. He refused at the beginning, but he couldn’t do anything else either, so he decided to lend me his phone. I successfully flashed it and installed CyanogenMod on it. Truth be said, it’s the most seamlessly working UI, ever! For that moment on, the phone could properly update the apps and, ultimately, become a better phone in all of its aspects. If you haven’t managed to fix this issue by any other means, then you must flash it. But you must seek professional assistance, as it could potentially brick your phone!

I’ve actually managed to put some money aside for this phone, and, after tediously-waiting for almost 2-3 months, I’ve got this one from one of my trustworthy friends that ensured me the phone was good to use and without any flaws. Indeed, he was right, it is seamlessly working without any bugs whatsoever. I’m looking forward for more updates though, it needs a swiftly-working interface. Overall, it’s worth the price.
