Xiaomi has officially launched the much-anticipated smartphone of the year, Mi 5 today at a press conference held at National Convention Center in Beijing in China. The smartphone comes with many firsts in terms of design and other features.

Mi 5 features a 5.15-inch 1080p display and is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset. There are two memory variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage.
In terms of optics, Mi 5 features a 16MP rear camera with 6P lens and Phase detection Auto Focus to shoot crystal clear and stunning photos. On the front, there is a 4MP camera. A 3000mAh battery is providing juice to the smartphone and comes equipped with Quick Charge 3.0.
In fact, the phone’s 4-axis OIS destroys other smartphones with OIS, like the iPhone 6S Plus. The company has even released a video to prove how good its OIS tech is. Check that out from down below.
Now, let’s take a quick look at camera samples of Mi 5 and see how the shooter mounted on this device performs. Note that these were released by the company and are not at full resolution.

There were a few other pictures released as well, and they have been added below.
