Hello guys, Today we will be demonstrating you the easiest way after which you can simply change the imei of any mtk based android device.
Compatible device list:
Change IMEI of Mtk6589 device
Change IMEI of Mtk6582 device
Change Imei of MTK65XX devices
Change IMEI of Quad Core Mediatek phones
Change IMEI of Octa Core Mediatek phones
Requirements :
You must be rooted. If you are not rooted then simply install framaroot from here and then install su and simply reboot. or use or earlier thread to Root any Mediatek 6589 Chipset from here.
Now that you are rooted then please install Mobile Uncle MTK Tools from here: Download Mobile Uncle Tools
If you get popup requesting root permissions then please grant it.
Once installed, you will see a screen like this :

First create backup of current IMEI by chossing IMEI BAckup Restore (MTK) as can be seen in the image and then selecting Backup IMEI to desired path

Now go back and Tap on Engineer Mode>>Engineer Mode (MTK) and then you will see a screen like this :

Then slide with your fingers to scroll to right and going to Connectivity Tab. Then tap on CDS Information, you will see a screen like this:

Now open Radio Information >> Phone 1 or Phone 2 (Which ever you want to change IMEI)

Now you can see a AT+ written at the top, tap there and then just type EGMR=1,7″write your desired IMEI here”
Then tap on send Command.
Restart the phone and then check your IMEI by dialing *#06#
Enjoy you have now successfully changed your IMEI!
