    Hello, does this also work with MTK6589T phones?

    Just rooted my THL W200 with it. Worked well. It’s MTK6589T.

    I have just recently purchased one of these W200, but I’m finding it impossible to root. Following instructions but cannot figure it out.

    Pls advise step by step how you did yours

    Thanks
    Chris

    Just managed to root my MTK6589T phone. Unsure of make I’m afraid but just wanted to state that from download to running tool it took less than 1 minute start to finish to root my I9500/N9500 Chinese Samsung clone.

    Great tool – thanks

    Just to confirm I did manage to root my W200 the other day. MTKDroidTools.exe worked for me :) Now I just wonder when a decent clearly explained ROM upgrade will be available. I prefer the shortcut notifications to be at the top of the screen, so that with one drag down, you can select whether to have 3g data or wifi on or off like on anrdoid JB 4.1.2 rather than the more steps needed on 4.2.1….Hope that make sense to all :)

    It has been reported on various devices, including ZOPO ZP980/C2/ZP810, Feiteng H9500, Star X920 Butterfly, HDC Galaxy S4, Star S7189.

    To help other rooters, please report back your phone make & model if this works or doesn’t work for you.

    Successful roots by members:
    Cubot A890 – danealegana
    THL W8 – nanimo, kelly2
    Star N9389 – paaaapryka
    THL W8+ – hendahewa
    Iocean X7 – 2alive

    I have successfully rooted an SAMSUNG -S4 Quad core MT6589 Clone with the following firmware signature.It was a 5 minutes process IF all the drivers are installed (even if it shown on Win7 drivers as having ‘error 10″ cant start driver error) as long as the PC recognises that a new device is attache dto the PC it can be process.

    ro.build.display.id=JDQ39.I9500ZSUAMDF
    ro.build.version.incremental=I9500ZSUAMDF
    ro.custom.build.version=I9868.I9868.02.02.A.A-V02.2-0528

    Hi guys

    This is to confirm that I just rooted my Tronsmart TS4 with this method.
    I got my ts4 in July from geekbuying.
    I am continously having issues with proximity sensor ( not working at all ) gps ( finds nothing ) and not beeing able to be reached even though signal strength is full. It sometimes even freezes when i try to make a call. In both cases only reboot helps.
    Any idea? suggestion?
    cwm and a new custom rom for ts4 would be fantastic!!!
    Does this have a clone that is being well developed and maintained so that we could be using its firmware/cwm etc???

    Thanks in advance
