Thanks, the root worked on my THL W8, though I was worried when it sat so long on the “…Superuser.apk” line.

What I can’t do though is install drivers that will let SP Tool install a custom recovery. Windows (Vista) won’t let me make my own choice of driver package so keeps searching Windows Update and failing of course. Stupid thing. I’ll keep digging though!

Hi all

just rooted a tablet empire electronix M712 with a ALLWINNER cortex A8 processor
All went well only supersu was not installed so i took it from google app-store
Root-checker gives that the phone is rooted

Mine is a THL.W100.130701.JBV2.HD.EN.COM.8P32_MT6589. After ages waiting, all messages were as shown in the screen captures, but it ended up not rooted.

Later I successfully rooted an UMI X1S 20130520-220931.

i have gionee e5 and it has 4.2.1 , i used your method but at the end when i try to open superSU its says there is no SU binary installed and supersu cannot install it.
any idea what did i do wrong?
