No. Rooting will not fix that. Probably it is a setting issue. Go to Settings > Display and make sure Auto rotate screen option is checked.

Hi, auto-rotate is checked. I have turned it on/off restarted and nothing seems to be doing it. I even followed the rooting method on this forum and it rooted successfully but it didnt help. So its hardware you think?

After the root process I get this message:
sh: /system/xbin/busybox: can’t execute: Permission denied
cp: /system/xbin/su: Read-only file system

I ran a couple of times as administrator and still not working.

My phone MTK6589 I9500 air gesture model. I rooted it and removed some chinese applications. Then I noticed that there is no swipe unlock sound while unlocking it. But lock sound is working. Once switch off the phone and first time the unlock sound is coming. But later on it is not. How can I resolve this issue?
