Thanks to Chinese site http://www.sjroot.com, we now have a root wizard that can root many Chinese MTK6589, MTK6577 and MTK6575 phones. It can help many users who find it difficult to root their phones with other methods.

First you need to install USB drivers to your PC if you haven’t done already. You can refer to this thread or this one to get files and help.

Also, enable the USB debugging mode from Settings > Developer Options.

Download the attached Root_wizard.zip, extract and run the Root_wizard.exe
“Attachment removed due to malware warning from Google” If you want to take the risk, you can download it from sjroot.com

Connect your phone and follow the wizard by clicking Next.

After rooting, install SuperSU or Superuser from Google play store and uninstall Chinese KingUser app.

The program states that my s802 was ” really really hard to root”. Any ideas? I would like to root this htc butterfly clone madel: x920e and install the google android rom on it.

i get a message saying. ” Your phone is really really tough..Root fail. then it give me the option to root manually but dont understand chinese.
Phone model is magcomm89_ics2. ITs a Samsumg Galaxy S3 clone from china..tryied everything in the book but cant root this phone.
could someone help me root it please!!!!!

Clone Samsung Galaxy S3 (MTK6575) rooted succesfully in minutes! Nice tool! The web page with ROMs is unfortunately in Chinese only – I can´t reed it . Can somebody say to webmaster, that will be great to implement English as well? Thx

Root fail N7100 MTK 6577 CLONE

i’ve try on a s4 clone with mtk6589T. The GUI return root complete but superuser does not grant SU permission at titanium backup.
During the process, near 77%, GUI said that the phone would be rebooted but on screen there was a request message of restore factory data. I have denied and I rebooted manually. The procedure was then concluded with a confirm. Is this the problem?
