MemberThunderbird Golden i5s Specs Review
The Thunderbird Golden i5s is a quad core Android smartphone running the Android 4.2.2 OS and a very convincing iOS 7 theme. Basically, this is an iPhone 5 clone and it does the job rather well if you can live without the actual iOS 7. It comes at an impressive price of $148 dollars, which is a lot cheaper than a real iOS device. Read on for a specs review.

General
The Thunderbird Golden i5s is a great Android smartphone, with specifications including:
4 inch IPS Screen at 960 x 540
1GB RAM
12GB Storage [4GB built in, 8GB Micro SD]
Stunning iPhone 5S Clone Design
Very Convincing iOS 7 Theme
8MP Rear Camera
5MP Front Camera
GPRS, EDGE and HSPA
Built in GPS Chipset
Wireless b/g
Bluetooth 2.0Display
The display of the Golden i5s is 4 inches in size with a resolution of 960 x 540. This is only slightly lower than the actual iPhone 5 resolution. At 4 inches in size, the entire phone is slightly smaller than most new Android devices. But the 4 inch screen works excellently, with 16 million colours and multi touch, QHD IPS technology. Its a pretty convincing screen for an Android iOS clone.Camera
The Golden i5s has two great cameras, a 5 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera. These specs are similar to the actual iPhone 5. You can take great pics whether you are using the front or rear camera. Both support digital zoom.
Connectivity
The i5s has bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, which is less than desirable when other models are shipping with bluetooth 4.0, however it does the job. It also connects with USB 2.0 and wireless technology (b/g). Unfortunately it does not support Wireless N, but b/g are still great for browsing the web. The built in GPS chipset makes it easy to navigate and make use of apps like Google Maps. There is also data connectivity, with GPRS, EDGE and HSPA.Processor
Using a quad core processor running at 1.3GHz, this device is speedy and very capable of handling the iOS 7 theme. It is actually a very convincing device, running at great speeds and multitasking easily. There is 1GB of RAM, but the system shows that there is 2GB of ram. But if you are okay with running an iPhone clone, this small glitch probably won’t bother you. The processor in this device is an MTK6582 Quad Core.Other Features
The Golden i5s has 4GB of built in storage, expandable via Micro SD. 4GB is not very much space, but the manufacturer packs this device with an extra Micro SD card, expanding the goal memory to 16GB.The iOS 7 theme on this device is extremely convincing. There is even touch ID functionality that works similarly to the real iPhone 5. Check out the video below.

Battery Life
With a 1560mAh battery, you can expect around 150-200 hours of standby time. The battery is built in.Dimensions
With a 4 inch screen, this device is smaller than most Android devices but comparable to the size of the real iPhone 5. It has a very similar shape and thickness, making it a real iPhone clone that might actually be worth buying. The dimensions are 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
Verdict and Price
When it comes to iPhone clones, there is generally a lot of junk out there. But this device is actually quite convincing, and even comes at a rather low price. It does not run iOS 7, but instead runs the Android OS with an iOS 7 theme. The only downside to this device is that it does not come with Google Play. However, the device can be rooted to install Google Play. But without it, the phones functionality becomes limited and it serves only as an iPhone clone, rather than a full Android smartphone.[FCT]11061-2[/FCT]

MemberI just want to know, do people buy these for fooling other people. I mean there’s no difference between the original and this one, I must say that this phone is convincing and the specs are kinda the same but of course, it does not run IOS.
I would consider a phone like that because I think that it has a chance.July 9, 2014 at 5:45 AM #17582james1991
MemberI would say a lot of people buy it out of curiosity, some might buy it out of spite towards the Apple brand, you never know really. Some people might just love the look of Apple devices but prefer to use the Android operating system. While others might be looking for a cheap iPhone and not even realise it doesn’t run iOS.

ParticipantEven though its price is pretty close to the original’s (at least in my location), I’d truly say I’d invest my money in it for the performances it has got to offer if I had the money in my hands. It isn’t misleading whatsoever, but I will see, probably I will get my hands on this marvelous phone!
