Android Dominates China but is out of Google’s Control

Android’s number 1 in the world, and in China, where it’s used to power cheaper smartphones. There’s news though that most Android users in China download their apps, a whopping 72.6% as noted by Umeng Analytics, through 3rd party stores and only 5.6% are downloaded from Google Play. I’m not sure though if this analysis includes forked Android OS which may be a good reason why apps are downloaded elsewhere. More info found here.
