Here’s an article I came across a couple weeks back. It mentions a few Android apps you can use to control your PC from your phone. How cool is that?

    Quote:
Whether you want to run your laptop from across town, move your pointer from across the room or even just push a few photos to a larger screen for everyone to see, you don’t have to actually touch the keys to work with your PC or Mac.

The remote app is everywhere. However, once you start sorting through the options, the prospect can be a little bit daunting.

    1. Xtralogic Remote Desktop Client for Android

Get to your laptop on your Android mobile device over any Internet connection with this app. Once you’re linked, use the app’s mouse and keyboard interface to access all your files, apps and email.

    Works With: Windows
    Price: $24.95

    2. Gmote

Running your media center through your laptop? This app puts its media list at your fingertips, in addition to all the features you’d expect with a mobile-to-laptop remote.

    Works With: Windows and OS
    Price: Free!

    3. Intel Pair and Share

Push pictures to your laptop from your iPhone, iPad or Android. The app allows others with the tool to onboard their own phones and tie in to one central laptop for sharing.

    Works With: Windows and OS
    Price: Free!

    4. Flash Remote

No need to add iOS to your mobile profile, if you can’t or don’t want to. This one routes your commands from your Android to either Windows or an Apple laptop. Activate remote control features through a third-party Virtual Network Control server — the maker recommends TightVNC.

    Works With: Windows and OS
    Price: Free!

    5. Splashtop (for Android tablets only)

The basic setup of this app allows you to remotely control your laptop on your own wireless network. With Splastop’s add-on Anywhere Access Pack, you can tap into your laptop from afar. The company claims its latency is lower than the competition, and that its multimedia streaming works faster.

    Works With: Windows and OS
    Price: $6.99–$8.99 (OS/Windows)

Is anyone using any apps of the above to control their laptop?

This app sounds like it has amazing potential. Does it’s functions support Macs? or IOS?

Another great app you forgot to mention is Teamviewer. It functions by downloading the program on the computer and the app on your phone. Then you can start a session between the 2 devices and your phone can control the computer. I’ve used it myself and it works decently. It’s free and safe, just Google it.

I agree, I have TeamViewer on not only my mobile devices but on my laptops and such because I can control from various locations. Nice tool.
