Do I need to look for a technician or an Android specialist for repair of Android phones? Or can I just bring my gadgets to a generic service center?

I think you have to be more specific with your question, its going to depend really on what part of the phone is broken.

It depends on what is wrong with is. If it turns on but won’t load, then simply reinstalling/resetting it should be enough, its relatively easy to do but if you don’t know how to then bring it to an Android specialist. If it won’t turn on at all then take it to a technician.

If it is hardware damage take it to a technician, probably depending on the company you are going to have to buy a new one.

It depends on the problem. You should give us more details about the problem if you want us to recommend you about what to do. :)

Your question is kind of ambiguous so I’ll try to answer the most common scenarios.
If you bricked it there’s nothing much you can do.
If you broke the screen, you can order one online and replace it yourself, or you can have somebody at a shop replace it.
If you damaged it’s innards so to speak, your phone is not worth much anymore, your best bet is to try and sell it on ebay.

I would say a technician. Usually the people who work at service centers aren’t trained very well.

Depends on what kind of problem you’re facing. An Android device is no different than other device when you say you need it “repaired”; some things you can do it yourself, and some other things have to be done by a specialist.

On my post earlier, somtimes the people at service centers are good, just not usually.

There are a good number of techs popping up these days. Where I live in Tempe there is one right next to ASU and I heard he has pretty decent prices. Just google “android repair [your zipcode]” and you might find someone.

I fixed my android on my own by watching a few Youtube videos, I got lucky. Go to a technician though.

I mean you could probably find a second hand person to fix any problems that you may have with your Android device. I mean Android devices are pretty easy to fix if it’s not hardware problems.

Whatever the problem is, it’s better to have someone with experience repair it for you if it’s complicated. I myself check a number of resources, mostly XDA forums. They’re pretty helpful.
