Can’t Update Apps

Memento_MoriA friend of mine bought a Huawei Activa 4G some time ago. At some point he moved some apps to his memory card to have more space. However now, whenever he tries to update his apps he gets a “insufficient space” message when he obviously has enough space.
bearmanI had the same problem like this. But there was no problem when the phone was new. After about one year, the problem appeared. The message “insufficient space” always appeared on the screen but the space was obviously enough. At last I gave up deleting the message and it remained on the screen until I buy another smartphone…

Oh… I forgot about that… I’ll have a try… But it doesn’t trouble me now because I buy a new one…
Lolman112I had this too. I don’t think it’s the memory. At least not the memory card or internal space. A long time ago when I was still using Samsung Gio (Yeah.. Yeah… I know) I read that means your phone is getting too old. I don’t know if it’s the way where you use it too much (and thus there would be a lot of unused temporary files in the cache) or just simply the app developers don’t supported your phone. I set the phone’s ID to a Galaxy S2 and it would download somehow.
martindroxMy friend has the same problem. i don’t think it has a solution, in my friend’s phone it didn’t appear till it’s been sometime since he bought it. He bought a new phone now and i don’t think he ever made work with the space thing.
Rohan99I think it is a fault with the phone’s firmware. You should search for an updated firmware from the manufacturer or search for a modded firmware that may have the problem solved. A lot of persons seem to have this same issue with that Huawei phone. You can also try to change the settings as it relates to the default storage location and see if that helps.
FlowwxOne of my friends has recently experienced this particular issue, too! He didn’t know what to do, and I couldn’t do anything either beside telling him that he needed to flash it. He refused at the beginning, but he couldn’t do anything else either, so he decided to lend me his phone. I successfully flashed it and installed CyanogenMod on it. Truth be said, it’s the most seamlessly working UI, ever! For that moment on, the phone could properly update the apps and, ultimately, become a better phone in all of its aspects. If you haven’t managed to fix this issue by any other means, then you must flash it. But you must seek professional assistance, as it could potentially brick your phone!
