After months of anticipation, Xiaomi finally took the wraps off the much-awaited flagship device, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 recently. You can read the official launch news here. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a very beautiful design and makes use of a flexible display as well. It is directly competing with other flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Huawei P9 series.
The latest flagship device from Xiaomi gets a teardown treatment to reveal the internals driving it.

The teardown is that of the base variant of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 priced at 2799 Yuan ($413) which comes equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Other highlights of this phone include a 5.7-inch flexible OLED display, Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4070mAh battery supporting Quick charge 3.0 and optics include 22.56MP rear & 8MP front cameras. Hi-Fi audio, NFC with a fingerprint, SAP assisted GPS definitely serves as icing on the cake. Let’s see what lies inside this device.

The Mi Note 2 teardown reveals that the company has used a lot of thermal foam inside the device. Also, the camera module gets a metal frame to ensure it remains in place. It’s also confirmed that the fingerprint sensor is a regular capacitive one instead of the ultrasonic one found on the Mi 5S.
