ZTE, one of the world’s leading device manufacturers, has officially unveiled the next device in their Blade series of smartphones, the Blade S7, which features twin 13-megapixel cameras making the device perfect for both photography and selfie lovers.
“We are delighted to confirm the availability of the ZTE Blade S7, a device packed with a range of fun and innovative features,” said Jacky Zhang, CEO of Asia Pacific, ZTE Mobile Devices. “ZTE is constantly listening to its customers and we wanted to deliver a device that takes the selfie experience to a new level.”
Aside from its twin 13-megapixel cameras, the Blade S7 also features a full aluminum alloy frame coupled with a 5-inch full HD 1080p LTPS display and protected by 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 panels on both the front and the back of the device. As a whole, the Blade S7 measures only 7.2mm thin and only 67m wide making it easier to grip. The new device comes in four color variants – Lemon Green, Rose Gold, Diamond White, and Space Gray.
Going back to the S7’s 13-megapixel cameras, the one on the front is complimented by a front-flash and phase detection autofocus as well as functions for panorama shots and 14 different beautification options while the camera on the back is coupled with laser autofocus, selective focus, and a slew of professional and auto shooting modes.
On the inside, the S7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and ZTE’s Android 5.1.1-based MiFavor 3.2 operating system. Additionally, the S7 is also equipped with a home key fingerprint sensor that can be used to not only unlock the device but also encrypt applications, data, and launch applications.
While the price and exact release date of ZTE Blade S7 has yet to be announced, the company did reveal that the new device will go on sale in Thailand first and will later be made available in other markets across the Asia-Pacific. Whether the company plans to bring the Blade S7 to other territories is unknown.
