Xiaomi, after successfully launching its flagship device Mi 5 has now focused on its beautiful operating system MIUI. Xiaomi released MIUI 7 back in October last year and months later it started pushing MIUI 7.1 update to its devices. Now it’s time for MIUI 7.2.
MIUI 7.2 is on its way to Chinese variants of Xiaomi devices including Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 4S, MI Note Pro, Mi 4c, Mi Pad, Redmi Note 4G (Single SIM) and Redmi 1S.
Starting March 9, rest of the Xiaomi devices including Mi Note, Mi 3, Mi 4, MI 4i, MI 2/2S, MI Pad 2, Redmi 3, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 4G (Dual SIM), Redmi Note 3G, Redmi 2A and Redmi 2 will start getting the new MIUI 7.2 update.
Xiaomi on its website has mentioned that MIUI 7.2 update for international variants of Xiaomi devices will start rolling out soon but has not mentioned a specific time frame. So, we can guess that roll-out will start sometime around late March.
MIUI 7.2 is basically an update patch for MIUI 7.1 and Xiaomi has fixed many things here and there in the new build and changed a few things as well. Xiaomi has added an option in terms of Permission Manager you can easily manage the permissions while creating shortcuts on the home screen. The File Manager has got a new option where you can double tap on the top bar to scroll to the top of the file manager feed. Other than that there are many other bug fixes, optimizations and performance improvements.
