Earlier today we reported the surfacing of a new Xiaomi’s device Xiaomi Gemini which is believed to be company’s next flagship smartphone Mi 5. Now we are back to report that Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 2 has been listed by the benchmarking website GeekBench and it seems like Xiaomi can announce Mi Pad 2 by the end of this year.
The most surprising thing about Mi Pad 2 is that it boasts of an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor clocking 2.2 GHz and packs 2 GB of RAM as it is evident from the information listed on GeekBench page. Mi Pad 2 will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box like its predecessor.
The single core and Multi core scores for Mi Pad 2 are 985 and 3268 respectively. As far as benchmarks are considered the predecessor Mi Pad featured far better scores than this one with its Tegra K1 chip, but real world performance may differ.
As for the OS, according to an earlier report, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will come with Windows 10. There’s even speculations about dual OS MIUI + Windows 10 possibility.
Unfortunately, there is still no official word from Xiaomi when they will be lifting curtains from Mi Pad 2. [source]
