In spite of already releasing quite a few smartphones this year, Xiaomi has yet to unveil a flagship smartphone for 2015 but that should change soon as real world pictures of what is allegedly the Mi 5 have been leaked online.
The pictures show a device that features the same design style as the Xiaomi Mi 4 with its trio of capacitive buttons at the bottom of the device. The pictures also reveal what looks like a bezel-less design with a screen that seems to go from edge to edge. Whether it’s truly bezel-less or just has black bezels won’t be known until we see pictures of the device with the display activated.
Looking at the bottom of the device, there seems to be two slim ports right beside each other. We assume that at least one of those is a USB Type-C port while the other may be the phone’s loudspeaker.
Previous reports have said that the Mi 5 is expected to come with a 5-inch Quad HD display, a new version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
We’ll have to wait until the middle of August to see if the device in the picture truly is the Xiaomi Mi 5 as that is the usual time when the company unveils its annual products, deals, promotions, and whatnot.[source]
