Recently around 250K users participated in a poll conducted by smartphone giant Xiaomi for naming its next big display smartphone. About 116,294 of the voters supported naming the next smartphone as Xiaomi Max. Now Xiaomi has a name for its upcoming smartphone and some of the features of this smartphone has also made its way to the internet.
Xiaomi Max will feature a large 6.4 inch display but nothing is known about the display resolution yet. This smartphone will sport a metal body design and will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset. Also it will come equipped with a fingerprint sensor as well.
Some users on a micro blogging website, Baidu posted photos of a device which appears to be the factory leaked images of front panel of Xiaomi Max.
As it is evident from the image above that the panel is quite large confirming the bigger 6.4 inch display. The top of the panel have usual design with openings for front camera and proximity light sensor. In between the two lies the speaker grill. This image further confirms that Xiaomi will not be using the bezel-less design for this smartphone.
The bottom of the panel carries the tradition three capacitive touch button design. There is no sign of fingerprint sensor on the front of this smartphone which presents two possibilities. Either Xiaomi Max will come with a fingerprint sensor on the back panel or it will be integrated into the display.
There are some rumors doing the rounds on the internet suggesting that Xiaomi Max will be officially unveiled this May but the credibility of those rumors could not be ascertained. So we can’t be so sure until there is an official announcement or some sort of credible report. [source]
