Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has kept the internet abuzz for the last 2-3 months and we get to know something new about this upcoming flagship device from Xiaomi every 2-3 days. Now, a new account has been created on the micro-blogging website Weibo by the name “Xiaomi Pro” which has led to the speculation that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could be renamed to Xiaomi Pro. This is possible since we already have a “Pro” in the Redmi series, namely the Xiaomi Redmi Pro (Review).
The name “Pro” reminds us of the Meizu Pro flagship series of smartphones and it is a possibility that Xiaomi is gearing up to take on Meizu with the first step being registering the account.
As for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, we already know that this device will most likely feature a 5.7-inch 1080p display and will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset. It could be running on Android 7.0 with 6GB RAM onboard and 64GB internal storage. The latest rumors suggest that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be supporting 3D Touch as well.
