Ulefone has released a new software update for their Paris flagship smartphone, the device’s fourth consecutive software update since its release. The update brings with it a new set of icons to replace the stock icons of the device’s mostly stock Android UI.
The update, numbered #20151130, replaces the stock icons of specific apps to more minimalist looking ones which, according to the company, aligns the design to current trends. The affected icons include the icons for Google Search, Google Services, Gallery, Call, Camera, Browser, and more. More than 70% of the device’s pre-installed apps will feature a new minimalist look while apps like the Play Store, Email, and Settings retained their original looks to prevent any confusion for new or existing users.
With the new update, the company has also removed the U-browser application which caused apps to automatically launch when newly installed.
Ulefone has also promised that the Paris will continue to receive software updates at least once a month until the users are fully satisfied with the device. Additionally, the new icons will also be coming in future updates for the company’s other devices including the Be Touch 1, 2, and 3. The company says the updates may come before Christmas.
The Ulefone Paris is currently being sold at a special price of $119.99 at several online shops which also comes with a flip case and a tempered-glass screen protector for free.[source]
