Ulefone announced the 6200mAh battery-equipped Ulefone Power last month and today the company has published photos of the device’s prototype along with some few information on the device’s special features.
Looking at the photos, the design of the Ulefone Power seems pretty simple and straightforward with a flat plastic front panel, a metal frame, and a plastic rear shell with a brushed metal design. The device does look significantly thicker than many of the flagships being launched recently but that’s mainly due to the device’s humongous 6200mAh battery.
The front of the device features a ring-shaped capacitive home key while the back shows off the device’s rear camera and fingerprint sensor. Aside from the power/sleep button and volume rocker, the right side of the device is also equipped with a shortcut key similar to the one found on Sony’s Xperia Z3 flagship. And the top of the device also has an oblong shaped IR transmitter along with its 3.5mm audio jack.
According to Ulefone, they’re focusing more on utility rather than beauty when it comes to the Power but the company also stated that the prototype in the pictures is not final and they plan to improve the design to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
Aside from the 6200mAh battery, the Ulefone Power is rumored to be equipped with a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, 16GB of internal storage, 4G LTE connectivity, and will run Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The company did not mention when the Ulefone Power is scheduled to officially launch but since it looks like it’s still in the prototype stages, we assume that it will be awhile before the device actually releases.
