Qeexo has officially announced today that they’ve partnered with the Alibaba Group’s YunOS business unit to bring FingerSense to the YunOS operating system.
FingerSense is Qeexo’s software-only touch solution that is capable of distinguishing between touchscreen inputs from the fingertip, knuckle, nail, and stylus. FingerSense revolutionizes the way users interact with touch-enabled devices. On the other hand, YunOS is one of China’s top mobile operating systems with over 30 million installations in 2015 alone. And with FingerSense, developers and device OEMs will now have multiple options for customization.
“Our partnership with YunOS accelerates FingerSense towards becoming a software standard for touch-enabled devices, giving users faster access to exciting new functions that increase performance and productivity,” said Sang Won Lee, CEO of Qeexo. “YunOS is a natural and exciting partner for Qeexo. Our goal is to empower businesses with software that enables them to differentiate and grow. We’re thrilled to support YunOS as it continues its impressive market share expansion and provides opportunities to developers around the world.”
Qeexo is also introducing and announced new features to FingerSense today including a pop-up dashboard on mobile devices where users can pull up their favorite apps from anywhere on the device just by double tapping the device with their knuckle. The company is also currently developing technology called FingerAngle which will introduce 3D touch capabilities to devices.
Additionally, other than Alibaba’s YunOS, Qeexo’s FingerSense has also been adopted by Huawei as a core part of their Honor 7 and P8 mobile devices. [source]
