It’s only been a little over a month since Huawei launched the P8 and P8 Max and they’re allegedly already working on its successor, the Huawei P9, according to reports from people who claim to be friends of employees who work at Huawei’s factories.
According to the reports, the Huawei P9 is currently only codenamed “IP03” and will feature a new design which features a curved back as well as fingerprint recognition technology which might be similar to the company’s Mate 7 smartphone.
The Huawei P9 will also feature a 5.2-inch display and a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization if a recently leaked Huawei product roadmap is to be believed.
The P9 is also expected to feature Huawei’s next-generation processor, the Kirin 950. The new processor is expected to be finished and released by the end of the year which makes it a perfect fit for the Huawei P9. The Kirin 950 will feature 16nm core technology is being co-developed by Huawei and TSMC.
Sadly, there weren’t any pictures or images of the Huawei P9 leaked today but we’ll be sure to keep watch in case any more information or pictures of the P9 are leaked in the future.[source]
