With the onset of 2016, rumors surfaced which suggested that HTC might be working on the next Nexus devices for tech giant Google. Around March this year, rumors again made their way to the internet suggesting that HTC will be manufacturing the Nexus devices for the next three years. Last month images of two purported Nexus smartphones codenamed Sailfish and Marlin surfaced adding fuel to the fire. Now, Nexus S1 (sailfish) has silently appeared on benchmarking database GFXBench revealing the specs of this smartphone.
As you can see, Nexus S1 will feature a 5-inch 1080p display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at 2.1GHz instead of Snapdragon 821 as some rumors suggested earlier. It comes equipped with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which has become a norm these days. It will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and there will be a 12MP rear and 8MP front camera for shooting purposes.
