Gionee, like many Chinese smartphone manufacturers, is known for releasing smartphones with decent specifications at a very affordable price and the company has officially announced that its releasing one of its latest smartphones, the S6, in India.
The S6, the company’s first 4G LTE smartphone that supports VoLTE, features a body that is 89 percent metal as well as a screen-to-body ratio of 77.8 percent with its 5.5-inch display which features a Super AMOLED panel, Gorilla Glass 3, and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
It also features 1.3GHz 64-bit octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with support for expandable storage via microSD card up to 128GB. It’s also equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera coupled with an LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3150mAh battery.
The Gionee S6 will run on the company’s proprietary Amigo OS 3.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It will be available online via FlipKat.com as well as through several retail outlets in the country for an MOP of ₹19,999 ($294) and will be available in three colors – Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold.[source]
