OnePlus CEO Carl Pei released the Kernel source for the OnePlus 2 flagship yesterday. And now that the kernel source is released, you can expect to see a lot of Custom ROMs for the OnePlus 2 in the coming weeks.
The flagship currently runs on the Oxygen OS, built by the company itself. After the unfortunate break off with Cyanogen, OnePlus decided to develop its own in-house operating system, which is now called as the Oxygen OS. In fact, within a couple of weeks of the phone’s release running this OS, the device received its first update. Last week, the Oxygen OS was updated to version 2.0.1 which included a patch for stagefright. The update also added a few camera features which includes the ability to take 50MP pictures and slo-mo videos at 120fps.

With Kernel Source available to developers, there’s only one major hurdle now – to find an invite to purchase the device! Any of you managed to get an invite for the OnePlus 2? Or did you buy from third-party sites like OPPOMART?
Meanwhile, you can access the Kernel Source for the OnePlus 2 from here.[source]
